Learn more about Texas

Westminster Presbyterian Church of Corsicana, TX

CORSICANA, TEXAS, county seat and largest city of Navarro County, is in the central portion of the county fifty-eight miles southeast of Dallas at the junction of Interstate 45, U.S. highways 75 and 287, and State highways 22 and 31. It was established in 1848 to serve as the county seat of newly established Navarro County. Community leaders formed the Corsicana Water Development Company but when water drilling began in the spring of 1894 they struck oil. In the 1950s Corsicana was home to Wolfe Brand Chili and the Collin Street Bakery, which continues to ship its world famous fruitcakes worldwide.

Your stay will include visits to local sites, including a Texas horse ranch, as well as trips into Dallas-Fort Worth. Our close proximity to the metroplex as well as to the city of Waco, offers a wide variety of activities available during your visit. We invite you to share your culture with us as you immerse yourself in ours!
