Learn more about Tennessee
While visiting the city of Clarksville, one hour northwest of Nashville, Tennessee, ‘the music city’, you will be hosted by multiple families. Our goal is to educate you and ourselves with mutual cross-culture fellowship. This will be done by attending First Presbyterian Church’s advent events, community meetings, local government briefings, touring museums, visiting places of work and tours of Nashville including the Grand Old Opry live radio broadcast and the famous Bluebird Café. We hope that you will enjoy our CIH program and you will return to your school with a greater appreciation of our religious beliefs, government policies, hospitality and holiday traditions. Our dates of participation will follow the standard two week break. Our typical weather during this period averages in the forties. The airport you will fly into is Nashville International (BNA). Please bring spending money for at least one meal at a restaurant a day (average $10 per day). Most ticketed events will be covered by our program.
