North Augusta, SC

“Nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina in the morning – or for Christmas”.  Experience this in North August, SC located on the banks of the Savannah River.  Across the river lies the city of Augusta, GA, home of the Masters Golf Tournament and the Augusta National Golf Club (we can take you for a ride by the entrance but unfortunately we won’t be able to take you into the course).

North Augusta has a population of 18,000 while Augusta is a medium-sized city giving you the opportunity to experience both small town and city atmosphere.  The mild winter climate has long made this a resort area for those wishing to escape for a while from the cold and snow.

What are you looking for this Christmas?  If it’s the opportunity to experience the warmth of a southern American home, sharing in the celebrations of Christmas, visiting industrial and historical sites, recreation, meeting with other international students or just getting away from it all this is the place to be.  We will offer numerous planned activities but you will be free to choose what you please.

In past years, long-term friendships have become common between our CIH students and their hosts.
