First Presbyterian Church of Greensburg

The families of First Presbyterian Church of Greensburg invite you to experience American Christmas Traditions with them!  From one of the state’s largest light displays (Overly’s Christmas Lights) to the holiday atmosphere of nearby historic towns (Ligonier and Delmont) to annual celebrations of our cultural past (Westmoreland Museum of American Art’s miniature train and toy exhibit and Colonial Inn candlelight tour), we offer a variety of activities to share the season’s joy.

Our location at the foothills of the Laurel Mountains in Western Pennsylvania presents many recreational opportunities including skiing and snow tubing.  We’d love to introduce you to the city of Pittsburgh, with its many museums, unique Strip District market and an outdoor skating rink, too.

You’ll stay in a private home and be welcomed to participate in an International Night by preparing a favorite meal or dish from your country to share with the host families.

Come dressed for winter and be prepared for snow!  Although there are years when our Christmases are not white, the temperature normally hovers below freezing (32F).  You’ll want to bring a favorite recipe, costume, photos or other items of interest from your native land as well as money for souvenirs and incidentals.

Arnold Palmer Airport in nearby Latrobe, PA., offers commuter flights to/from Pittsburgh International Airport.  Limited train and bus transportation is also available.

We hope you’ll accept our invitation to spend Christmas in Greensburg, PA.  It would be an honor to have you as our guest.
