Enjoy the winter holidays with a family in the Clifton Park area. Clifton Park is located approximately 25 minutes north of Albany, the capitol of New York State, and approximately 3 hours north of New York City.

The Clifton Park program offers students the opportunity to stay with an American family in their home.  This program is perfect for those who want to relax and spend time being part of an American family. You will participate in your host family’s life. 

There is a train that runs daily between Albany and New York City. If  the students would like to make a one day trip to New York City, we can take them to the train station early in the morning and pick them up at the station at night. If you plan to go to the city, you will need to bring an extra $200 for transportation, sightseeing and meals. If you would like to go to the city for a longer time period, please do so before you arrive at our program on December 16^th, or after you leave here on December 31^st.

Our program will run   December 18, 2007  to January 2, 2008.   Please make your travel arrangements within this time frame. 

Our program has no financial support so you will have to pay for everything yourself during the 2 weeks you are here. Your family will only supply beds and the meals you eat at their home.

Everything we do is very casual. You will need to bring warm clothes, preferably clothes you can layer like turtlenecks and sweaters. It is usually windy and snowy this time of year with temperatures between 20˚F and 30˚F, so hats, boots and gloves are necessary.
