New York Programs

Our family is happy to open our doors to you over the holidays. We are two sons, 12 and 13, and one Mom. We love the holidays and would be glad for you to help us choose and cut the tree, decorate the house, and even bake cookies!

Poughkeepsie is the home of Marist College (where I teach a course) and Vassar. It is 70 miles from New York City and on the train line, and I may be able to help you find accommodations for a few days independently there. You could come as early as December 16 and need to leave by January 1. (I am also a Pastor, so please know that I could not get you before 3 on Sunday). There is a lot of history here, and you could visit the Roosevelt home, the Vanderbilt Mansion, and the home of Samuel Morse. If the weather is appropriate, it might be possible to ski one day. Good books to read, time to play with new toys and x box!!! and an introduction to a Christmas American style await you!
