Welcome to Conyers, the best of the New South! It’s a small city close to the excitement of Atlanta (only 24 miles away) with it’s own distinctive charm and gracious style. No matter what your tastes- from high class to down home- you’ll find Conyers has so much to offer. Here is just a sampling of what you’ll find: The Georgia International Horse Park (where the equestrian events of the 1996 Olympics were held), the Monastery of the Holy Spirit (one of the few monasteries in Georgia), Old Town Conyers (full of delightful eateries, one of a kind shopping experiences, historic buildings, and seasonal entertainment), and the Covington Square (a charming, old time town square where many older movies and TV shows were filmed).

Since Atlanta is only a short drive away, why not join us for exciting experiences and fun in touring the CNN Center (an international TV station), the new World of Coke (coke was invented in Atlanta), the Georgia Aquarium (the world’s largest aquarium), see a show or movie on IMAX (the world’s largest film format), visit Stone Mountain (world’s largest monolith), go shopping at the Mall of Georgia (Georgia’s largest Mall) and so much more!

During your stay you will be staying with 2 host families, one from Dec 20-26, and one from Dec 26-Jan 2. We are looking forward to meeting you and getting to know more about your country and your interests, as well as building a long-term friendship. Come and learn the meaning of ‘Southern hospitality’!

(Our weather varies- anywhere from 30 – 65 degrees on average in December. Please dress accordingly.)
