The charm and hospitality of Atlanta awaits you!  Peachtree Road United Methodist Church is located in Buckhead, an historic, entertainment, shopping and cultural center of Atlanta.  Our program welcomes you into the homes of one or two host families to experience a warm and joyous holiday season.

You will join 10 – 15 other international students as we enjoy a variety of activities, including The World of Coke, Stone Mountain and Village (the world’s largest exposed granite monolith), a tour of CNN Studios, Cyclorama (a civil war battle painted in a round theatre – one of the few remaining examples in the world of an art form that was popular at the end of the 20th century), the Martin Luther King, Jr., Center, plus other activities and the best shopping in the Southeast.   You’ll also get to know some of our church members as they invite you into their homes for lunches, dinners and other social events during the day and evening.  Please share your favorite foods, pictures, etc. during an International Dinner when you’ll be invited to help prepare your favorite meal from your home country.

Your transportation, most entrance fees and the majority of meals are provided at no cost to you.  Please bring extra spending money for some meals and your personal expenses.  Temperatures in Atlanta during the Christmas season are generally in the 50’s F during the day and in the 30’s F at night.

We look forward to showing you some Southern hospitality and sharing our homes during the Christmas holidays.
