Cedarkirk Camp and Conference Center

We invite all students to travel to Florida where you will join other international students to live in a lodge at our conference center.  Our program will run from December 18th-January 2nd.  Your stay will be at the center except from December 23rd-27th when families throughout Southwest, Florida will welcome you into their homes for the Christmas Holiday.

Our 170 acre camp and conference center is located 45 minutes from Tampa.  A small river runs through our wooded property.  The temperature can vary from 35 degrees Fahrenheit at night to 80 degrees during the day.  While at the conference center, the optional activities include canoeing, a climbing wall, high ropes, a New Year’s Peace Service, and an International Dinner (All students are invited to prepare a favorite dish from their home country), and talent show.  There is also time for games, dances, a campfire, and late night talks with new found friends.

There are field trips to the beach, Busch Gardens theme park located in Tampa, and Disney Theme Parks (Transportation to Orlando is provided.  You must select which theme park to attend).  Your lodging, transportation, and meals while at the conference center and with the host families is free.  However, theme park passes and meals during the Orlando and Busch Gardens field trips are not included.  This would run approximately $130-$150, depending on your food purchases.  There is also a $5.00 charge for the high ropes course.  Our trips to the beach include a picnic lunch.

Our site has hosted Christmas International House for many years.  Most students are always excited to visit the theme parks and beaches.  However, by the end of the holiday, most say that the time spent with others at the retreat center is what is the most memorable.  For this reason, we strongly encourage students to participate in all the planned activities.  Also those who drive to our site, we ask you to plan to stay on site at all times to build a strong community within all our International guests.
